Kuluyuk chicken (Sweet and Sour Chicken) is a dish that originates from China or Tiongkok (its mandarin name: Gu Lao Rou). This dish usually the chicken is fried first, then poured with sweet and sour sauce. The chicken part that is usually used is the boneless chicken breast, because it is very easy to cut it into small pieces. Before frying, the chicken breast pieces are marinated with several spices to add flavor to the chicken meat, and cornstarch to make the surface of the chicken meat thicker.

Tomato sauce and sugar are 2 ingredients that make the sauce taste sour and sweet, and can make the sauce thicken without having to use flour again. People love this dish because of the sweet and sour taste attached to the chicken meat. In general, kuluyuk chicken can be complemented with chopped carrots and red chilies, and eaten with warm rice.

 300 g chicken fillet, cut into 2x3 cm
 2 tbsp soy sauce
 1 tbsp cornstarch
 175 ml water
 1 carrot, cut into toothpick shape
 1 red chilli, seedless, cut into 2 cm lengths
 2 garlic, cut into thin strips
 6 tbsp tomato sauce
 Add salt, pepper, and sugar as desired

Put the chicken fillet slices in a bowl, then add a little garlic powder and soy sauce.

Combine the cornstarch into the chicken, mix well.

Heat the oil. When it's hot, add the chicken fillets.

Fry chicken until golden brown, then remove.

Saute the remaining garlic with the remaining oil until fragrant.

Put in the carrots, water, salt, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce. Cook until boiling.

Put in the red chillies and fried chicken fillets, stir well until the sauce thickens.
